The reform of education has been the subject of education management and researchers,as it concerns the development of society,economy and culture and the growth of human.Over the years,unified top-down model of national curriculum in high school geography curriculum has shown many drawbacks.In the trend of education reform at home and abroad and with the promotion of quality education and the new curriculum reform, school-based Geography Curriculum development is particularly important,because it cannot only supply the shortage of national and local curriculum,but also be able to react in different regions,different school characteristics and meet the students, individuality development. School-based curriculum has become an important part of the school curriculum.With the guidance of national and local(Zhejiang Province)policies for the Geographic Education,the article is based on the research of high school geography curriculum and the actual situation of the Affiliated High School to Hangzhou Normal University,then draw the relevant conclusion.The first two chapters are theoretical part,which include the analyzes of background and significance of the selected topic, the relative concepts of high school-based curriculum development,the present situation of curriculum development at home and abroad,the relevant theories on the development of school-based curriculum and so on.In the next chapter,analyzing the geography school-based curriculum of MaoDun High School,it concludes that the conditions of successful development about the curriculum and what to pay attention,and summarizes and expounds the concrete steps and methods of the geography school-based curriculum development.Chapter iv for the practice part,it shows how to exploit geography school-based curriculum in senior high school through the actual case.The last chapter for review and prospect,it deliberates the process of the curriculum development and the problems faced,and then put forward its own proposals and desire.
