The reform of teaching methods is urgently needed for professional teaching to change to base on ability standard. It has not conformed to the development of the time that using teacher-centered teaching method, exam-oriented education. The teaching method reform, represented by Modular-Project Teaching Method (MPTM), is in line with the student-centered teaching concept, which is beneficial to students’ comprehensive quality, teachers’ professional development and to build a comprehensive vocational education curriculum system.Constructivism learning theory advocates that learners, in certain situations, or social and cultural background, could achieve meaning construction with the help of cooperation activities among teachers and learning partners. It also puts forward the "scaffolding instruction" and "anchored instruction", which provide the teaching design concepts for MPTM. Humanistic learning theory emphasizes the dominant position of students in the learning process, which provides a good theoretical basis for teachers and students to change roles. Dewey’s pragmatism education theory argues that education is life, education is constantly transforming experience, and the school is society. It emphasizes the center role of children and learning by doing, which provides good ideological basis for MPTM.On the basic of summarizing MES modular training model, CBE competency-based teaching mode and action-oriented teaching model, we learn the advanced teaching methods and teaching ideas, and inference the implementation of the program of MPTM, which including the following steps: analysis jobs key abilities; Determine the curriculum objectives; Designing learning content module; Create real work situation; Explore solutions independently; Evaluation of learning effect in many ways. MPTM should follow four basic principles: project suitability, student subjectivity, dynamic ability and the comprehensive evaluation.In this paper, the experimental method is adopted to practice exploring of implement of MPTM, and taking the professional training course "marketing practices" of marketing major in Chen’s vocational and technical school marketing class as an example. Through questionnaire and interview, we analyze the current marketing major courses and the general problems of teaching quality, and analyze the key ability to jobs in view of these problems. And then, we design learning content module according to the job requirements and procedures. Although MPTM implementation process encountered problems such as lack of suitable teaching materials and responsibility dispersion effect, the teaching effect is remarkable. It helps to improve students’learning motivation, team spirit and coordination ability, self-confidence, and self-learning ability.Although the implementation of MPTM has obtained achievement, we still need to improve in the following respects. Firstly, the project design should meet the needs of the students’ physical and mental development level and the needs of jobs; secondly, to improve teachers’ teaching and practice ability; thirdly, to prepare enough hardware and software learning resources. At the same time, to promote the modular implementation of project teaching method better, government, schools and enterprises should collaborative innovation: using the system construction as the starting point, ensuring material conditions; using university-enterprise cooperation as an opportunity, collaborative innovation for teaching methods; using adjusting curriculum system as power, promoting the reform of teaching methods; using the construction of teaching staff as gripper, improving teaching quality in an all-round way.
