The classroom is the main channel for the implementation of Character Building Education. The classroom teaching reform is a central link in deepening the curriculum reform of basic education. The reform of classroom teaching can carry out national curriculum program effectively, improve the classroom efficiency and teaching quality, promote the quality of education.On the basis of the work experiences of the author and her colleagues, the author chooses the teaching reform of No.l Middle School of Jingmen City in Hubei Province as the research object, then uses the methods of investigation and interview to analyze the practice of reform, summarizes the achievements and finds out the existing problems. The main achievements are:the teachers’teaching concepts have been updated; the academic atmosphere of the school has become strong; the abilities of the students have been generally enhanced; humanistic care has been displayed; the quality of teaching has been greatly improved. There are some main problems:for example, the teachers organize the students to discuss too frequently in the usual teaching, but the teachers lack the effective guidance and help for students, resulting in the students’formalism is serious; the adaptability of teachers and students presents two levels of differentiation: the students who are adaptable feel just like a fish in water while the students who are inadaptable feel like Handan toddlers; owing to the lack of relaxing environment, some teachers are too very careful in the practice of students’ classroom, therefore they lack the unique teaching styles; the students main body classroom confines to classroom teaching, and the school does not use excellent teachers’ resources and material resources of the school and other schools; the students’ participation is not balanced, cooperation is not sufficient, and the group cooperative learning efficiency is low.In view of these problems, the author analyzes the reasons and concludes main factors:the lack of competent support by the education departments, mainly due to inadequate education departments support, serious lack of funds; the teaching administrative department perform tasks according to economic laws instead of educational laws, resulting in Jingmen city high school enrollment disorder; under the pressure of pursuit of higher education background in the whole society and the educational administrative departments’performance evaluation, the school managers want to implement quality education, but powerless. One-sided pursuit of enrollment rate trend is still serious. The school management is relatively backward and the teaching management is too trivial, but the management of the students lack effective measures, which doesn’t fit in with the reform of classroom teaching. Some teachers’ ability is insufficient, resulting in the lack of classroom teaching skills in class, and they often go wrong.After analyzing problems, this paper puts forward the assumptions about deepening the classroom teaching reform. Firstly, strengthen the concept of change. The innovation consciousness of school administrators is prerequisites of the success of the classroom teaching reform; teachers’ professional development is the foundation of the classroom teaching reform success; cultivating the students’ ability of autonomous learning. Secondly, improve the conditions of the classroom teaching reform. Namely, build the scientific management system; strengthen school-based research and development; the implementation of small class teaching. Thirdly, create new methods of the classroom teaching reform. Make the students from "want me to learn" to "I want to learn", from "bitter learning" to "cheerful learning"; make the teachers from "speak well" to "guide well", from "a porter" to "an engineer"; teaching style from "the same flower" to "all kinds of flowers bloom together".
