The Research On Social Work Intervenes In Family Foster Care Patterns Of Orphans And Disabled Children

The family foster model of the orphans and disabled children is a kind of rearing model which is derived from the development of orphans and disabled children welfare.As the traditional mode of fostering in Welfare homes can't meet the needs of orphans and disabled children's growth and development.Due to the low-cost family foster care model will pay more attention to enhance the family atmosphere and other advantages in the growth of children,so it has been promoted by government in recent years.But foster families often take the physical growing of children as the primary task.They often ignore the problem such as the interaction of family members for the child.Therefore,social work intervention is conducive to child's personal growth and harmonious development of the foster family.The background of this study is China's family foster care model and the author's long-term social work practice in Changsha Children's Welfare Institute.This study assess the needs of foster children,parents and staff,base on the social work service projects to carry out the professional service and research in the Foster Care Place of Tiaoma Town,to explore the transformation of foster families in the process of social work intervention.This paper is divided into four parts.The firstpart describes the development of family foster care model at home and abroad,and analyzes the feasibility and necessity of social work involving family foster care model.The second part describes the situation of the Foster Care Place of Tiaoma Town of Changsha Children Welfare Institute,the interaction between foster children and their families and analyzes the problems in this model.The third part describes the development process of social work practice and analyzes the effect of social work on family foster care model.The last part elaborates the feasibility,the way and the influence of social work professional intervention in family foster care model,and gives the related suggestion about the development of the pattern.Social work practice not only looks orphans and disabled children as the only service object,but also take the foster family system,community and staff into the scope of services to explore the interaction of orphans and disabled children support system.The whole research has important theoretical and practical significance for the family foster care of Changsha Children's Welfare Institute.
