Competition State Anxiety And Task Characteristics Research Of "Choking" Phenomenon,and Construct The Multiple Interactive Distraction Theory

"Choking" is still not a unified definition,based on the previous study and t he study of task characteristics in the execution process of performance, the autho r define "Choking"as deterioration of the cognitive model that gained through trai ning which in execution of process of performance under pressure,and the pheno menon of Performance decrease in competition.This article contains three studies.Study one using the methods of generic qu alitative study to analysis the reason of "Choking" phenomenon from the excellen t football players.the cognitive of pressure is the start of "Choking" phenomenon; hi gh level athletes individual self-consciousness approach to coping with pressure;a pproach coping style will cause the change of distribute attention,for the informati on gathering cause the bad decisions or the execution of process automation is b1 ocked that ultimately led to "Choking" phenomenon;the lower of self efficacy is n ot necessary for"Choking" phenomenon of the high level athlete;competitive trait an xiety(just the description of the competitive trait of physiology,psychology after in dividual cognitive press) and the high level"Choking" phenomenon is the low corre lativity not the causality. Study two contains experiment land experiment2, using t he methods of 2x2 two factors with in-subjects design to research the competition state anxiety and the "Choking" phenomenon of Basketball athletes of undergradu ate found that competition state anxiety is not the reason of high level basketball players shooting down and inability to policy decision in competition.Approach c oping style,strong individual self-consciousness,high competitive trait anxiety were the key factors of the shooting down and inability to policy decision in competiti on. Study three using the methods of statistics for factor analysis to research the r eason of "Choking" phenomenon with different sport players by questionnaire inves tigating that found:"Choking" phenomenon mental mechanism existential discrepancy as the factor of Skill dominant type,policy decision interactive type, and policy d ecision leading type exist in the task characteristics.The results based on "choking" process theory,and past disturbance hypothesis and automated execution hypothesis, taking into account the behavior is determin ed by many athletes perception-the implementation process constitutes, from a cog nitive psychological perspective, propose new "choking" Multiple interactive distrac tion theory and build choking phenomenon psychological mechanism model.The au thor trying to put forward the hypothesis that can explain more clearly to the pla yers to play from the pressure generated during the development of this disorder, but can be applied to explain more items sport. On this basis, according to schol ars draw on previous research presents "choking" phenomenon interventions.
