A hundred years account greatly, educating is origin; teacher is origin. With the development of the vocational education, advanced vocational education undertakes important missions. In order to win the competition, private vocational colleges must pay much attention to the construction of teachers group. Scientific management and effective incentives can promote the role of teacher and make them more engaged in their job. But poor management and incentives failure, will hinder the sustainable development of private vocational colleges, and affect the overall stability and harmonious development of China’s higher education system. Through drawing lessons from the research result of the Incentive Mechanism of private vocational colleges at home and aboard, the article points out that the construction of teachers group is the key of the development of the vocational education. It is urgent for private vocational colleges to reinforce teachers’ team building and construct a reasonable teacher incentive. And Teachers’ Incentive Mechanism in Private Vocational Colleges is a valuable research topic.The thesis regards Hunan S Vocational College as the object of research. Firstly, This paper, based on content motivation theory, process motivation theory, Behavioral Modification motivation theory, reviews the related theory of Incentive Mechanism at home and aboard. Secondly, Combining Maslow’s Hierarchical Theory of Needs, the paper analyzes the features of teachers’ needs by interviews and a questionnaire survey. Thirdly, the paper points out some problems in the Incentive Mechanism of Hunan S Vocational College. Its main features are the unreasonable salary, the incomplete performance evaluation system, imperfect professional training,the non-standard evaluation and employment system, and so on. The paper analyzes and generalizes the following reasons:such as lack of the analysis to teachers’need and incentive factors, lack of awareness to modern human resources management, the ignorance of teachers’ career planing. Finally, the paper puts forward the overall thought and basic principles of teacher’s incentive mechanism of Hunan S Vocational College by combining with the strategy and objectives of the development of private colleges, including salary incentive mechanism, humanistic care, emotional management motivation mechanism, training and development of the incentive mechanism, Honor and promotion incentive mechanism, the bottom constraint mechanism,etc. And then the paper gives some suggestions to safeguard the teacher management incentives:such as to attract and retain talent distribution system, to establish a new pay and training mechanisms, to establish an advanced human resource management and implementation of the teachers’ career planning.
