Rhetoric secondary language teaching plays a significant role in language teaching. It runs through the whole language teaching, and refers to reading, writing and oral communication and so on. Teachers should train students’ ability of using figures of speech in language teaching, which can improve students’ reading and writing skills, enhance students’ ability of language use, and ultimately improve the overall quality of students’ language. But the current survey of teaching found that teachers in the teaching of speech put a lot of time and energy on the basic knowledge of speech, treat the causes and functions of speech, the students’ ability of using rhetoric capabilities with little attention.
