Basic idea of Ideology and Morality Course in junior middle school pointed out that itshould help students develop thinking ability, to preliminary master and explore the basicmethods and basic skills of ideological and moral problems, and to achieve the goal ofideological education. Under the guidance of new curriculum standard, ideology and moralitycourse should aim at the all-round development of students, timely changing teaching ideaand teaching form, and implementing the quality education to a farther degree. Case teachingin ideology and morality course is a kind of teaching form which can better solve themalpractice in the traditional teaching. The fundamental purpose of case analysis is to set upthe teaching process on the basis of the students taking the initiative to explore, and topromote the whole development of students’ thinking ability and judgment analysis ability.From the perspective of case teaching, this article studies how to improve the case analysisability of students in ideology and morality course.Based on the theory of case teaching, new curriculum theory of junior middle schoolideology and morality course, the effective teaching theory, etc, as instructions, usingresearch methods such us literature review, questionnaire, interview and observation, takingYantai third middle school as an example, this article investigates the present situation ofstudents’ case analysis ability, finds the problem, analyzes the reason, upon such basis,putting forward case analysis ability cultivation approaches based on case teaching. The fulltext is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction. Firstly, it introduces the research background from anew concept of middle school ideology and morality teaching, and the advantages in caseteaching and the importance of case analysis respectively; and then elaborates the researchsignificance from how to adapt to goal-oriented education reform in high school moralcharacter teaching, improving the teaching quality of moral character target selection, andobjective ways by guiding the autonomous learning and innovative thinking. It combs andgives comments to the middle school moral character teaching research status at home andabroad, and finally introduces the paper innovation points and research methods.The second part is about the present situation investigation and the its results of caseanalysis ability. Under the precondition of defining the concept of case analysis, through the student questionnaire and teacher interview, it tries to grasp the current situation of students’case analysis ability, and systematically summarizes and concludes the the result of thequestionnaire.The third part reveals the problems existing in students case analysis ability andattribution analysis. Through the information reflected in questionnaire, this part points outthe problems existing in the students’ case analysis ability, are mainly reflected in four aspects:defectiveness in theoretical knowledge, which influenced the establishment of the caseanalysis framework; narrowness in knowledge level, which affect the points grasping of thecase analysis; imperfect curriculum system, which influence the improvement of the caseanalysis thinking; negative independent research attitude, which influence deeply the processof case analysis. It conducts an attribution analysis about influencing reasons on students’case analysis ability from three dimensions on teachers, students and education environment.The fourth part illustrates countermeasures in cultivating student’s case analysis ability.Firstly, it puts forward the four principles of cultivating the student’s ability of case analysis,namely the principles of subjectivity, thoughtfulness, effectiveness and interactivity. And thenit expounds how to cultivate students case analysis ability improve from four aspects, namely,improving teachers’ quality, guiding students to learn effectively, paying attention to theclassroom teaching organization, and creating a good environment for education.The fifth part is about conclusion and reflection. It summarizes the conclusion of thepaper, indicates the deficiencies in research, points out the future research direction.Based on existing problems of students case analysis ability at Yantai Third MiddleSchool (branch), this paper is in line with the aim of improving students’ ability and classeffectiveness, it carries out the investigation and research by using questionnaire investigation,interview, observation and the methods of statistical analysis to the m students ability in caseanalysis, finding the problems, analyzing reasons, and putting forward cultivation approaches.I hope that through this study, it can not only help teachers to grasp the method of caseanalysis guidance, strengthening the concept of new curriculum reform, and to improve thestudents’ enthusiasm to participate in case analysis discussion, as well as their thinking ability,and master the knowledge and skills of ideology and morality course.
