In order to overcome the difficulty of teaching in Junior high school physics and toenhance the students’ confidence in learning physics, the author has done the research on howto use "Approach strategy",and have made a breakthrough in the difficulty of the middleschool physics teaching, basing his research on such theories as constructivism theory,Ausubel’s "advance organizers" strategy and conceptual change strategy.First of all,the author did a diagnosis of learning difficulties of each unit in physicsamong a total of1230students in Junior two and three of Weifang Guangwen Middle Schoolto find the common learning difficulties. From the survey we can conclude that mostdifficulties in teaching physics concentrated in several different units, such as the circuit unit, electric power unit and the pressure unit etc.On this basis, the author analyzed the reasons for the learning difficulties throughinterviews with students and teachers. As the characteristics of the knowledge structure ofeach unit may not be the same and the students differ in their knowledge base, lifeexperiences, cognitive development, learning interest, motivation, methods, and skills,so the reasons for learning difficulties of each student may be different. In the preliminaryanalysis of teaching content and level of the students’ cognitive development,we pinpointfive causes for the learning difficulties:①the lack of perceptual knowledge;②the lack oforiginal knowledge;③interference of former concept;④the insufficient learning motivationand attitude;⑤the inadaptation between the students’ level of cognitive development, learning skills and the learning content.According to the original causes of the difficulties under investigation, the author comeup with the corresponding structures of the six strategies of Approach:①Approach structuresusing visual means of teaching;②advance organizers presented Approach structures;③Approach structures using cognitive conflict;④Approach structures using of metaphor andanalogy;⑤Approach structures using context;⑥Approach structures by decomposing tasks. The author chose a relatively difficulty-concentrated unit—"heat and energy" asTeaching Experimental Study,Be directed to the difficulties of every section, and its causes, choose the corresponding approach-built strategies, make a "bridge approach" in studyingdifficult points, prepare instructional design for each periodï¼›After the implementation of theteaching design, give a test on the knowledge, and analyze the results, which shown that theaverage test scores of the experimental classes are comparatively better than the regularclasses, and the difference is significant,Make a self evaluation questionnaire to know howthe students evaluate the teaching strategies,The results indicated that the students showpositive assessment towards “making a breakthrough to teaching difficulty in physics teachingusing Approach strategyâ€ï¼Œ which not only help to overcome difficulties, and increasedinterest in learning physics.... |
