Chemistry STSE education came into china in the1980s, aiming to reveal therelationship between Science,Technology,Society and Environment, and improve the socialcivic scientific literacy. Organic chemistry is closely related to human production and life andit is widely used in every area of our life. Mastering some knowledge about “organicchemistry” has been necessary for us to improve the quality of life and to take up somerelated areas in our study, investigation and production.As an important part of elementary education——senior high school takes theresponsibility of popularizing the knowledge of organic chemistry. The study of this module-----“Basic organic chemistry” is the foundation of information science, life science, materialscience, environmental science and energy science. However, the uniqueness of organicchemistry and the special thinking methods make the students feel difficult for them to learn.Learning “Basic organic chemistry” by STSE creates a new way to teach, and it Stimulatesthe interest of students, improves the teaching efficiency, and realizes the effective teaching.In this paper, based on the questionnaire from the teachers and students in RuShan No.1Middle School, this thesis studies the related theories of Education about STSE andinvestigates its present teaching situation. By analyzing this module of Shandong edition, Iintegrate the STSE educational resources, do some experiments and make some teachingdesigns. The details are as follows(1)Analyze the content of teaching materials, fully study the textbook in the STSE educationalresources, and make a thorough understanding of the examinations in ShanDong and othersenior high areas which use the new curriculum standard papers in the past five years.(2)Refer to literature, make the questionnaire about “Basic organic chemistry” from studentsand teachers, make a analysis of the present situation of the research and then analysis theresults.(3)Design the teaching content and Experiments were conducted on two different designs. Geta general idea of the result of the experiment,and then compare the results.By the study above, I draw the following conclusion.Teaching “Basic organic chemistry” by STSE can stimulate the interest of students, enable thestudents to become more involved in the learning process, promote the study of “Basic organic chemistry”, and the learning effect is remarkably improved, realizing the effectiveteaching.
