In this study, I take advantage of some sampling methods to make a research about theadaptability of the first grade of high school students in rural boarding schools. Based onanalysis of the causes of the current situation, I make a number of recommendations forimprovement.Through statistical analysis of sample survey data, we find that high school freshmen, especially rural students can’t adapt themselves to the life of high school. Due to two majorcauses including subjective aspect and objective aspect: the objective aspect includes the mainfamily factors, high school education factors, the gap between urban and rural compulsoryeducation, genetic factors. The subjective aspect consists of intrinsic motivation of studentlearning, student learning technology, student body and mind health aspects. In response to these problems and causes, we advocate the adoption of effectivemeasures from both schools and families to form educational efforts to help high schoolstudents to better adapt to the high school in rural life faster. Our School takes someimprovement measures including: effectively home-school, good training for parents; reallygood freshmen enrollment education; implement full of students, investigation and follow-upmanagement of the whole process; strengthen the daily teaching routine management toimprove the quality of teaching; create a harmonious relationship between teachers andstudents, dormitory relations; rational organization of various activities, students will focus onthe rural quality of training and exercise. The improvement measures of family include:Parents should take an attitude to learn scientific knowledge and teaching methods of familyeducation, family education to improve capacity; parents should strengthen the effective communication with their children through various ways, and make some necessarypreparations parents should take a positive attitude towards their child’s academicperformance.
