It has been ten years after the senior high curriculum reform in Shandong province. Atthe beginning of the reform, most of the teachers’ understanding of the curriculum reform isonly in a set of teaching materials. But since2007,“The harmonious and efficient thinkingdialogue class” was proposed in Yantai city. And after that, high school classroom teachingreform has been in conformity with the concept of curriculum reform.In the construction process of harmonious and efficient thinking dialogue class,case-based teaching was gradually introduced to geography teaching. This kind of teachingmode can effectively arouse the students’ interest, improve the students’ subject ability andacademic achievement, help students learn to study, explore, exchange, cooperate, as well asapplication and innovation. Based on years of teaching practice, the author researches thecase-based teaching of high school geography from concept to practice level.Of the first part of this article the background is first expounded. Then the paperintroduces the needs of the new round curriculum reform and the significance of thecase-based teaching in the construction of the harmonious and efficient thinking dialogueclass to. Then the paper introduces the research status of the case-based teaching and researchmethods at home and abroad. It also explains the significance of the research.The second chapter expounds the theory of a harmonious and efficient case-basedteaching, including the meaning of the connotation of case-based teaching, the significance ofcase-based teaching, the main characteristics of case-based teaching, the main theoreticalbasis of case-based teaching and the design principle of case-based high school geographyteaching.The third chapter focuses on the research and analysis of current high school geographyteaching implementation. It introduces the implementation of high school geography teachingsteps and implementation status.The fourth chapter analysis the classification, composition and application of theeffective case-based teaching. The classification of the teaching case studies help to composehigh quality teaching cases. The composition of the high quality teaching cases is significantto high school geography teaching practice in reality. The teaching case application inclassroom teaching mainly expounds the specific operation of case-based teaching.The fifth chapter mainly expounds the problems existing in the harmonious and efficientgeographical case-based teaching, teaching suggestions, as well as teaching advice. Thestrategies of case-based teaching are also put forward combined with teaching practice.This article, based on the traditional case-based teaching, aims to provide a moreeffective geography teaching mode for the building of harmonious and efficient thinkingdialogue class in senior high school. Meanwhile, it also aims to provide some reference valuefor the enrichment and development of other subjects. But due to the limitations of theresearch level of the author, it’s unavoidable that there may be some mistakes in the researchresults. Hopefully, they can be improved and perfected in the subsequent research andteaching practice.
