Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of enhancingathletic performance and the technique of paddling into the water by8weeks offunctional fitness training.Methods:This study was based on12adolescent rowing athletes of ShandongProvince.With8weeks of functional fitness training, conducted in two phases on landand water training.Meanwhile test the athletes’ performance, lactate, plasma frequency,paddling curve and other indicators.Results:(1)The results of ergometer test showed that athletic performance hasbeen significantly improved after training,and lactate levels also decreasedsignificantly.(2) The results of2KM water test showed that athletic performance hasbeen significantly improved after training, and plasma frequency also increasedsignificantly.(3) Athletes have significantly changed their paddle curve afterfunctional fitness training,and paddling force had been increased greatly,inparticularly, the technique of paddling into the water had been increased greatly.Conclusion:Functional fitness training can effectively enhance athleticperformance of paddling techniques,we suggest that more training should be taken infuture’s training to improve the techniques and athletic performance for adolescentrowing athletes. |
