Learning motivation is defined as a working force which promotes and encourages learning behavior so as to achieve the desired goal in the process of learning. Learning motivation, serving as the key incentive stimulating students’ learning and powering students’learning continually, actively impels students’ learning activities, which has an effect on learning efficiency. Students’learning is affected by several factors. Learning motivation education is intended to make students’informed of factors, approaches concerning improving individual’s learning and aiding students in shaping their learning objectives, life goals and regulating their mind and state in the process of learning practice.Learning motivation in the moral education class for junior high school students refers to a generic term in teaching approaches, which are employed by teachers responsible for moral education at class and based on junior high school students’characteristic. These teaching approaches are designed for helping junior high school students establishing learning objectives of separate stages, life goals of worldly ideal and encouraging and promoting students’ learning behavior and enhancing learning motivation.Academic motive is the source and basis determining learning. This study is based on relevant academic motive theories, combined with literature review, questionnaire, interview and case study as main methods. The survey with regard to learning motivation is conducted among junior high school students in Fuzhou city. The statistic data collected from the survey are analyzed and reflection on the strategies about how to activate learning motivation in the moral education class for junior high school students is elaborated in the thesis.
