High school is the best stage of the development of students’ learning potential for high school ideological and political discipline education, explore and research the development of students’ potential learning ability, so as to promote students’ overall harmonious and sustainable development, has the very vital significance.This paper to study the potential, the definition of high school ideological and political learning potential and learning potential in the thought political lesson, the performance of high school ideological and political learning potential development of the theoretical basis, content, way of learning potential development, strategy, method and so on makes a comprehensive and systematic theory and practice research.Through research, further clear high school students learning potential development and the organic connection between the thought political lesson teaching:1.To change teachers’ teaching methods and students’ learning ways, highlighting education courses of emotion, attitudes and values develop characteristic;2. Cultivate students’ ability to apply the, promote the formation of good study habits and personality, to melt society, people live better. Design is more suitable for the development of the high school thought political lesson teaching learning potential development model, quantitative analysis of the development situation of high school ideological and political case learning potential of students, improve the operability of learning potential development.This paper based on research using the empirical research method to analyze large amounts of data statistics, concluded that the high school ideological and political learning potential development, through the optimization of teachers’ teaching behavior, the development of curriculum resources, teaching mode conversion; Student study way of change, the accumulation of non-intelligence factors, and learning potential type, structural adjustment, high school ideological and political learning potential development helps students political ability to learn, learning quality improving.
