objective:Describe the present situation of professional identity in nursing undergraduate students in Xinjiang。2.Analyzed the factor which impact the professional identity in nursing undergraduate in Xinjiang, provide the basis for the reform of the education。Methods:used the stratified cluster sampling to the1440students in Xinjiang medical university nursing2009-2012which conducted a questionnaire survey of their professional identity。Result:1.it is said that there are about29.97%of nursing undergraduate student in Xinjiang hold the negative professional identity, then about52.46%of nursing undergraduate students hold the general professional identity, and about17.57%of nursing undergraduate students hold the right professional identity.2.Which knowing well about the professional knowledge of the nursing vocation poorer, well aware of only0.83%, have a better understanding of just2.92%。3.49.17%of the students choose the nursing because they can get a good job more easier, only9.17%choose this vocational because of likes。4.First choice to fill the nursing vocational accounted for48.89%, accounting for22.50%voluntary transfers.5.It is reported that according to their own wishes there is only31.94%by parents, teachers and the factors that affect the number of large, the proportion was at the rage of68.06%。6.Before enrollment, the number of who like this vocational is about502, accounting is about34.86%, and the remaining938students holds the negative attitude, the proportion was63.14%。After a period of study, the number of who likes this vocational roused to766, the proportion was53.19%; the negative attitude was reduced to46.81%。the present situation of professional identity in nursing undergraduate students of Xinjiang is ordinary, there was statistically significant in different national、sex and grades;(p <0.05)。Conclusions:the present situation of professional identity in nursing undergraduate students of Xinjiang is ordinary, professional identity of the minorities students are better than Han students, girls are better than boys, first grade have the best professional identity, The higher grade have the worse professional identity。It is have some important factors which impact the professional identity in nursing undergraduate students of Xinjiang, likes:traditional cultural values, the different ways of admission, the reason attended this professional, the situation of the family economic。Professional identity in nursing undergraduate students should be continue to be strengthen in Xinjiang.
