This paper studies the big events by analysising the coverage of the Li Tianyi crime,observing the code of ethics perspective, keeping the bottom line of press ethics, and how toprotect the legitimate rights of minors.The paper mainly includes the following five aspects:The first chapter is the introduction. Their main contents are provided below:TheIntroduction expounds the purpose and significance of this research, the origin of the research,the methodology of the research and the theoretical innovations of this paper.In the second chapter, with the method of content analysis, this study selects somesample of news to have a quantitative analysis, four aspects involved in news headlines, newsstories, presenting news quality, sources for data analysis.The third chapter analyzes the typical news reports, a total of two representative newsreports as samples, to analyze the detailed on the particular sample.The innovation points in this essay:First, By analyzing the contents of the medias description on “Litianyi’s event, this essaycomes to a concrete conclusion through quantitative analysis.Second, the selected event of this study is of great significance. Litianyi,with the specialidentity as an underage teenager and the son of the celebrities, whose event created a strongpublic stir just as it occurred. Therefore, the study is typical and representative.The writing difficulties in this essay:First, ethics and journalism are inevitably involved as to get into the bottom line ofMedia report, which brought a difficulty to effectively combine these two subjects.Second, as the content analysis method adopted in this essay, it requires a samplingselection of the medias description on Li’s event, which involves a large number of samples.
