In the short more than20years, learning taekwondo is rapidlysweeping across all over the country. Such as the taekwondo lessons, the training class intothe college course and also into the community sports activities. With the extensivedevelopment and the progress of this activity, it is gradually presents the big gap withworld taekwondo because the popularity is not so high and lack of the scientific researchand the poor training effect.The students of vocational colleges are relatively active and lively, but the practicalability is strong. With the development of the vocational education in Jiangsu provinceespecially carry out the policy of registered, the quantity and the quality of the students aredeclined. And with the influence of external environment the students lack of thinking andlean to impulsion. According to the features of these college students and combined withits special feature of taekwondo. It is as the fashion mode of the sports. It is not onlyreflects the unique charm in protocol requirements and training content but also teach thelearner respects the teacher with the nice attitude. On the other hand it can improvesomeone’s health. The third it promotes the harmonious for college. It is playing theimportant role for the culture construction for college.This paper is through literature, questionnaire survey, mathematical statistics andlogic induction of these methods do the investigation for19college in Suzhou about thesituation of the students participate in taekwondo, the cognition of the students and thedevelopment trend of taekwondo, the interesting and learning motivation, the exerciseeffect and the present statues of teacher and place. And then discuss the developmentstrategy of taekwondo in southern area of Suzhou to offer the theoretical and practicalguidance for taekwondo of colleges in Jiangsu Province.The influencing factors which limits Taekwondo development:1.There are variousfactors in students.2. Teachers’ factors are mainly.3. lack of high level attention.4. Nostandard teaching materials.5. The spot and facility reason is mainly because of inadquatespot and facilities for normal teaching. Suggestions and measures:1.Professional taekwondo teachers should be introduced,ormore technical training be made to existing sports teachers.2. More attention from schoolhigh levels are suggested.3. To make standard teaching materials/contents andexaminations for Taekwondo.4.Increase the investment to teaching spots and facilities. |
