The new-round mathematics curriculum reform has changed the ideas and thecontents of mathematics greatly. The vetcor was taken into the high school mathematicstextbook as a “double identity”of algebra and geometry. The vector is one of the importantbasic mathematical concepts in modern mathematics, and it is a bridge between algebraand geometry. Considering its important role in mathematics, it is an urgent task toresearch and study the effective vector teaching method.The first part is a summary based on the document review in which I conclude somegreat achievements made in vector and vector teaching. Next, I analyze the objectives andcontents of vector in detail in the textbook published by Jiangsu Education Press. Then Imake a questionnaire and interview of the vector teaching and learning to find out thevector teaching situation and the problems in the teaching.After the analysis of a lot of relevant materials, combining with my own teachingexperience, I summarize eight vector effective teaching strategies:Firstly, carefully study the teaching material; Secondly, pay attention to the teachingof the concept of vector. Thirdly, pay attention to the importance of operation; Fourthly,pay attention to flexible transformation between vector language and others; Fifthly, payattention to the combination of number and shape; Sixthly, pay attention to the use ofanalogy, comparison and migration of knowledge; Seventhly, pay attention to theapplication of vector; Eighthly, guide the students to learn independently. Finally, I try toimplement these teaching strategies with three cases.
