“Chinese Curriculum Standards of Compulsory Education”(The2011Edition)presents that,“The Chinese courses for junior high school need to improve the students’Chinese accomplishment in all-around way. However, the improvement of Chinesejunior high school students’ accomplishment still depends on the improvement of Chineseteachers’ own accomplishment. How the junior high school Chinese teachers do to improvetheir own Chinese accomplishment for improving classroom teaching and the teachingquality better, has become a topic of widespread concern of educators. This study intendsto further understand and analyze the Chinese teachers’ reading status quo and causes injunior high school, and propose targeted improving strategies to better achieve the goal ofjunior high school Chinese courses while taking Chinese teachers in Funing County’sjunior high school of Yancheng City in Jiangsu Province for instance. Methods ofthis study include questionnaire, literary analysis, telephone survey, practice, experiencesummary and so on.The beginning of this paper starts from the necessity of reading for Chinese teachersof junior high school, and analyzes the significance of reading for Chinese teachers ofjunior high school from the angle of improving their Chinese accomplishment, betterreading the teaching materials and helping students to establish the spiritual home. Then ittakes questionnaires, telephone survey and other methods to understand the reading statusquo and main problems of Funing’s Chinese teachers in junior high school. Chapter Twoanalyzes the reasons for problems in the reading status quo of Chinese teacher of the juniorhigh school, and finds out objective and subjective factors affecting teacher’s readingstatus quo. Chapter Three explores the effective ways to improve the reading of Chineseteachers in junior middle school according to the reality, and puts forward feasibleimproved measures based on three aspects, including teachers, schools, local governmentsand education authorities. This study is aimed at seeking the feasible strategies, scientific methods andreasonable measures to advance the reading of Chinese teachers in junior middle school,combining with the education and teaching practice of junior middle school throughinvestigating on reading status quo of Chinese teachers in junior middle school, andeventually in the hope of promoting the sustainable development of Chinese teachers,constructing the studying type teachers, and guiding Chinese teaching practice of juniorhigh school actively.
