As early as 1940 s,Ye Shengtao had put forward the concept of "reading the whole book".At the same time,the curriculum standards of compulsory education in our country have also made a clear provision,pointing out that in the course of learning Chinese,students should read more books and read the whole book.Junior high school students at a very important stage is the critical period of reading habits and reading quality form,to the whole book reading is of utmost importance for the development of students,can not only affect the reading habit,will also directly affect the cultivation of students' interest in reading and overall consciousness etc..However,the worrying fact is that the reading situation of the extracurricular reading of the junior high school students is not optimistic.In this paper,several representative junior high school students in Jiangxi city of Guixi Province as an example,in order to issue questionnaires and interviews with teachers and students to conduct in-depth investigation and analysis,the final investigation report.This paper focuses on the formation of the investigation report on the extracurricular reading the whole book "the actual situation,study its inadequacies,and then develop effective solutions,to improve the status of the whole book reading.In this paper,through the investigation on the content and the structure of the form is divided into four chapters,the introduction part from the background,survey questions raised,literature review,research methods in four aspects;the first chapter is mainly on the extracurricular reading situation of the whole book is discussed;the second chapter points out the causes of the problem according to the design and analysis of the results of the questionnaire,the four aspects of the third chapter reading interest and reading habits,the students from the whole book reading the whole book evaluation methods,the whole book reading environment,teachers' guidance methods to start,discusses the Countermeasures of extracurricular reading the whole book of junior high school students.
