Higher education is a way of measuring the development of a nation. Theteaching quality, subject construction and academic research level owesprimarily to the teachers’quality. Therefore, how to motivate and inspireteachers’positivity and creativity mainly lies in the scientific performanceassessment system, which is a key task for the development strategy of school,the further realization of two-level administration system of university andcollege, the self-benefit of teachers.As a result, it is of great importance tobuild a performance assessment system, which is a motivation for auniversity’s prospect and teachers’positivity.Based on the theory and method of performance assessment system, thisessay devotes to take Inner Mongolia Medical University as an example tofurther analyzes the actual assessment situation, some potential problems aswell as their reasons in practical working experiences, while giving somesuggestion for the improvement of teacher’s performance assessment system.There are four chapters in this paper. Chapter one focuses on the purposeand meaning of this research, the general review of relative documents in andabroad China, and the main clue of the whole paper. The second partsintroduces of theoretical basis of assessment and the features of teaching. The third part is a analysis about the actual situation of the assessment in InnerMongolia Medical University and the process of building up this system,giving some suggestion in terms of it problems and reasons. The fourth worksin thoughts and methods of building higher educational performanceassessment system, for the prospective of constructive ideas, index, andassessing methods. The last part is a conclusion of the case of assessing workin Inner Mongolia Medical University with the admitting of some lacks in thisessay, from which gives some clues for the further study of this subject.
