The work of mental health education has become an important part of the ideological and political education work.Identity reached is a key aspect about students’healthy development of personality, related to their ability to correctly understand and transform the world, related to their ability to achieve comprehensive development of human freedom. Ideological and Political Work Department of Education Secretary general requirements mentioned in the work of2014come up with "to further promote the’psychological health quality enhancement program,’"how to promote the continuous improvement of students’ self identity, to achieve youthful good late to early adulthood transition, and format healthy personality, has become one of the hot issues facing the ideological and political education.The self is the basis of identity, self-identity is the result of the formation of the role.Self and identity are interaction, Self-identity is the core task of reaching college students personality development, if the college successfully solved the problem of self-identity crisis faced by the same self-integration to get a good sense, it shows the individual form of the identity, adolescence the first task is to establish identity. This study suggests that self-identity is the personality of the individual in their own development and improve the process of self-awareness, self-recognition and self-development on some social issues, made in time and space with the past, present and future with continuous, consistent thinking and choices, such as career planning, ideals, values and other issues. On the basis of the relevant research literature on self-identity theory, the basic theory of group counseling theory as the basis, designing a group counseling which target is to enhance students’self identity,choosing60students from Dalian University of Technology were tested as experimental subjects, measured before and after the use of experimental design, the use of descriptive statistical analysis, statistical methods for independent samples T-test for group counseling to enhance students’ self identity effect empirical research. The study found:First, group counseling plays a positive role in promoting the students’ self identity. Second, group counseling could have a significant positive impact on time perspective, self-awareness, the role of attempts, self-confident and understanding the value orientation of the five dimensions of identity crisis. The third, fourth group counseling program in this experiment are designed to be effective in the future training of college students identity can be extended. Finally, Summed the pathways about group counseling to enhance students’ self identity from the strengthening of community college students in the core values of counseling and education to enhance students belief and understanding of the role to try to help students and career planning three angles.
