Backward students’ problem is the most worrying problem for parents and school. One of the reasons of the backward students is their peer interaction problems. Academic backward students interact with the students whose performance is similar to them, or with social delinquents. Their interactions restricted the change of their academic performance in great degree. Junior high school students are in the transition of compulsory education and the noncompulsory education stage. Their academic performance can decide what kind of education they accept in the future to a certain extent. It is a turning point for them.This paper aims to study junior high school backward students’peer interaction, understand their problems and put forward some help their backward shift strategy, and then change their academic honor. In this paper, a junior middle school in Fangzi District of Weifang city is studied. The author selects the students in junior2and3students for questionnaire. And the writer select three typical academic backward student for the case analysis to find out the existing problems and the two academic backward students, friends, teachers and parents were interviewed, the analysis of academic the backward reason to survive in the problem. Through the questionnaire investigation, case analysis and interview, the author found in the peer middle school underachiever exist:work with industry self center, the peer population less, strong liquidity, friends very state, exchanges do nothing to do with learning, learning objective too utilitarian and lack of confidence in the communication process and other issues; the reason of these problems is(1) parental educational level is relatively low, unstable work, busy living, communication of children peer lack of guidance (2) the personality characteristics of students themselves (3) mutation of the family environment (4) the influence of school environment. I think we can change academic backward students from the following aspects:(1) to develop academic backward students peer interaction skills (2) to create a relaxed family environment (3) use the class group to help backward students for peer interaction (4) in extracurricular activities for the school underachiever provide peer interaction chance (5) create a good social communication environment for backward students.
