The senior middle school mathematics new curriculum reform has been carried outfor ten years.Compared with all previous mathematics curriculum reforms, the one weare confronted with now is the most intensive effort made ever. And the middle schoolmathematics new curriculum standard has also changed a great deal. Therefore, it’s nowonder that problems arise now and then. But what problems are the most serious onesand require paying much more attention to is becoming a hot topic to the researchers.Practice is the sole criterion for testing truth. We can not just listen and look at thesurface to judge whether the senior middle school curriculum reform is good or bad.Only with scientific education research method to conduct survey and research on seniormiddle school mathematics education comprehensively and systematically,analyze andsummarize the pros and cons of them, we can better continue the reform and form acomprehensive theoretical system in education reform to guide our educationalreform.Throughout the history of past reforms through detours, the reason is to ignorethe fact that research and respect the truth.The thesis chooses the national basic education powerhouse—Huanggang City asthe starting point,selects six high schools in towns of Huanggang City for the sample tounderstand the implementation of the mathematics curriculum in senior middle school.Meanwhile, the thesis accurately collects the important data in curriculum reform todetect possible problems in the curriculum reform.The content of the survey involveshardware conditions, the implementation of "high school mathematics curriculumstandards"(hereinafter referred to as the "standard"),teachers’evaluation of teachingmaterial and the implementation of curriculum reform.On the basis of the research andanalysis of the result of the survey, the thesis summarizes the significant problemsexisting in teaching and supplementary material, curriculum content, the schoolleadership execution, teachers’ understanding and implementation of the new curriculum,the coordination between different goverment departments and students’study pressureand so on. Meanwhile, the thesis puts forward proposals to improve and perfect on the basisof the above problems.They are as follows:Firstly, on the institutional strategy,a soundassessment and restraint mechanisms principals are to be established and school leadersshould develop middle and lower managers’ rigorous assessment mechanism.At the sametime,further promote the reform of the evaluation system for teachers and curriculumshould be matched to lighten the burden on teachers and students;Secondly,ongovernment policy,try to coordinate the work of various departments, balance supportand funding as well as effectively focus on non-key middle schools; actively promote thenormal Colleges to join the senior middle school curriculum reform and urge teachertraining institutions to improve their own model.Thirdly,on school policies,try to improvethe teaching and supplementary materials;“Sublimation” teacher ideas and carry out avariety of targeted training to enhance teachers’ professional development.,...
