It has been more than ten years since the new senior middle school mathematics curriculum was implemented in 2004.Its achievements and problems have caused many scholars'wide attention and sparked many in-depth investigations and studies.In Guangxi the implementation of the senior middle school mathematics new curriculum started in 2012 and its status and follow-up development also attract many researchers' attention and provide the origin and motivation of this study.The author modified the questionnaire of Jin Xiaoqing' thesis,and worked out two questionnaires for teachers and students.The questionnaire on new mathematics curriculum for teachers includes six parts:the preparatory work for the new mathematics curriculum,the achievement of its object,its changed content,its evaluation,its textbook and how the teachers'understand its teaching and learning activities.The students' questionnaire includes three parts:the students' view about the new mathematics textbook,its teaching and learning activities,their evaluation on the new curriculum.Using the research method of questionnaires,interviews,comparative study and literature study the author interviewed 360 teachers and 1500 students in five cities in Guangxi,trying to resolve the problems such as:what's the status of the implementation of the new senior middle school mathematics curriculum in Guangxi,what changes have happened comparing to the national status of its implementation in 2013,what're the current problems and how to make the promotion in the future.Through investigation and analysis on the status of the implementation of the new senior middle school mathematics curriculum in Guangxi,the author got the following conclusion:the job satisfaction of teachers in Guangxi has declined relative to national's,the situation of the teachers' studying the new standard is not optimistic;the implementation of the new curriculum goals is not ideal which need the joint efforts of the majority of teachers and students,its PEP textbook adds more materials to its content which are generally difficult and the longer the teachers teach,the more they think it is unfavorable to the teaching and learning;the evaluation of its implement in Guangxi is subject to the college entrance examination system and its indicators still need to be perfect.All these shows that the teachers and students are dissatisfied with PEP " standard" textbook during the implementation;the teachers and students master low ability in using multiple teaching and learning ways;Burden of teachers' teaching and students'learning is very heavy.Based on the above investigation and analysis,the following suggestions are provided to the existing problems.The teachers need to study curriculum standards hard and develop its instructional role in the teaching process.The edition of its textbook should reasonably use the step-by-step logical arrangement structure and integrate the new materials better.The statement of curriculum's objectives should be clear,so it is convenient for teachers to understand its instruction.The teachers should try to reduce the gap between their local students and the ones in the other areas in the respects of their basic knowledge and basic skills.The teachers should correctly choose the elective textbooks,making sure that the 3 or 4 series of elective teaching material is reasonable and effective.The teachers and students should actively adjust their teaching and learning ways in order to make the process of teaching and learning more proactive and creative.The new curriculum needs to continually implement the pluralism of evaluation subject,the diversity of evaluation method and the multiple dimensions of evaluation basis.
