In recent years, with the rapid development of non-government funded educationin our country, it has become a vital part of the national educational system, and has alsoplayed a positive role in the popularization of the current education system and thesupplement of the educational appropriations. However, it is important for theindependent colleges, who wish to have a foothold and development in the face of thefierce competition of higher education, to enhance the teaching level of teacher,improve the quality for talent cultivation, and also a scientific, reasonable and effectiveperformance evaluation system for all the teaching faculty is a key measure for that. Inview of this, on the basis of a analyze on the evaluation system for teachers in ShenyangInstitute of G(SIG), this paper attempt to establish a practical evaluation system whichcould improve the whole performance of the school and enhance the competitiveness ofthe college.This paper describes the background of independent college teachers’ performanceevaluation and introduces the research status both at home and abroad in the first place,then elaborates the related theory of performance evaluation. Through that, taking SIGas an example, this paper analyzed the existing problems and its reasons of its currentperformance evaluation system. Finally, it rebuilt the current assessment system andmade a further discussion for the safeguard for that.
