While the control group children don’t do the same fairytale story telling activity. The experiment lasted eight weeks, through the analysis ofpretest-posttest data on the experimental group and the control we found that the narrativeability of experimental group has significantly improved in at least three dimensions:vocabulary usage, the complexity of the statements, narrative length. In narrative, children’s ability of using time words to improve narrative complexity have increased to acertain extent, but the effect is not significant. From the results, we can draw the following conclusion:1. Under the premise of the children’s same own conditions and similar educationalbackground, there is no significant difference in early childhood narrative competencedevelopment.2. Change the former education environment by fairytale telling, and the children whooriginally have the same development level of narrative ability will have certain development after be intervened.3.In purposeful and planned educational intervention, the dimensions of children’snarrative ability get uneven development. This experiment only focus on the effect of telling fairy tale for children’s narrativeability, and I hope this research can inspire more study on other effect of telling fairy talefor children’s development.
