ObjectiveTo investigate the occupational stress, job burnout status and the influencing factors of primary and high school teachers in Jiaozuo city, analyze the main factors and provide the scientific basis for taking effective intervention measures to reduce their occupational stress and job burnout.Materials and MethodsUsing the stratified cluster sampling method, extract10schools according to city, District, township, village, four classes in Jiaozuo. Teachers having more than1year working experience was chosen as research objects. Use Occupational Stress Inventory Revised and MBI-General Survey scale translated and revised by national experts. By anonymous questionnaire survey, the quality was strictly controlled in the process. Dual entry of the survey results by EpiData3.0, form original database and analyze data by SPSS12.0statistical software.Results1. Basic characteristics of the survey subjects:Distributed670questionnaires, recover626questionnaires, response rate is93.4%, among which valid questionnaires is604with efficiency rate973%.604respondents is from20to60years old. average age is36.6±8.4.2. The OSI-R scale scores and influencing factor analysis:604-teacher occupation tasks questionnaire shows:48.8%teachers are moderate and heavy occupation pressure, occupation stress reaction questionnaire reveals that56.9%surveyed teachers have more than moderate occupation stress; Teachers with coping resources in normal range account for71.3%. Analysis of variance shows:the male occupation tasks are more than the female. The former’s somatic stress response is relatively stronger and having better coping resources. Teaching task pressure is most obvious among30~and40~years old. Teachers under40years stress reaction is stronger, mainly in the psychological and somatic stress, than teachers over40.’ Teachers under30or over40have better individual coping resources. Higher education degree and title, higher task. There are more occupation tasks for the graduating class teachers and class teachers in overload task and over-strong responsibility, while their professional tension and psychological stress reaction is also enhanced with less coping resource. Senior high school teachers’stress reaction is the strongest, occupational tasks of municipal school teachers feel the greatest pressure. The individual stress reaction questionnaire total score and professional stress response from strong to weak are village, township, district, city. Municipal school teachers get the highest scores in coping resources, the same on leisure, health care and social support.Regression analysis on the nervous reaction of the teachers’ personal reveals that factors enhance teachers’ individual stress response are overload task, task of ill-defined, over-strong responsibility and vile working environment, and rational conduct can reduce the occupational stress reactions.3. MBI scale scores and influencing factor analysis:among604subjects, zero burnout is21.5%, mild burnout is24.3%, moderate burnout is31.1%, high burnout is23%. It is shown that teachers’education level, title, whether as head teacher, school level as well as teaching grade etc. have significant influence on job burnout.4.Relations between occupation tension and job burnout:Using the Spearman rank correlation analysis method, there is a positive con-elation between teachers’ occupation tension and job burnout. stronger occupation tension, stronger job burnout. Spearman rank correlation coefficient is0.432, P<0.05.ConclusionThere are different degree occupation tension among surveyed school teachers in Jiaozuo, main factors of the stress response are whether as head teacher, heavy task, the task of ill-defined, over-strong responsibility and vile working environment. Teachers’ job burnout status is also apparent. Their cultural degree, titles, whether being head teacher, teaching grade and school level are different in professional low self-efficacy, emotional exhaustion. There is a positive correlation between teachers’ occupation tension and job burnout, By reducing the working pressure and alleviate the tense occupation, can effectively lighten the teachers’ job burnout.
