The occupation pressure of teacher refers to the pressure he experiences about all stressed events. The occupation pressure of teachers in mentally retarded school is special, and the problem of their occupation pressure has attracted more and more attention. This study takes two mentally retarded school in Dalian as an example, chooses 53 teachers of the school as objects, to research the present situation of occupation pressure of teachers in mentally retarded school through investigating and interviewing them, in order to find and explore the pressure sources exists in their work and the ways they respond to them, and give replying suggestions, expecting to increase psychological health level of teachers in mentally retarded school, provide the basis of pressure relieving work to the teachers in mentally retarded school.This study checks lots of reference widely, and uses already existing relevant study native and abroad, makes the occupation pressure of teachers in mentally retarded school for four aspects to research, they are teaching pressure, management work pressure, interpersonal relationship pressure and occupation develop pressure, uses self-designed Investigation Table for Occupation Pressure of Teachers in Mentally Retarded School and self-designed Interview Outline for Occupation Pressure of Teachers in Mentally Retarded School as study tools to research the present situation of pressure sources and the ways they respond to them of teachers in mentally retarded school in Dalian.The study finds that: the pressure in management work and teaching is bigger than the pressure in interpersonal relationship and occupation develop of teachers in mentally retarded school in their occupation pressure, and the situation of the teachers respond to the pressure in management work and teaching is better than the pressure in interpersonal relationship and occupation develop; the occupation pressure sources of teachers in mentally retarded school mainly includes that difficult to reach the teaching target in a class, too much tasks such as examinations, appraisals and assessments, unreasonable requirements and expectations from the students’ parents and the difficulties of professional evaluation; the response to the occupation pressure of teachers in mentally retarded school mainly appears that carry out targeted education to the students with disabilities of different degree, formulate and implement regular rules of the class, talk the sorrows and troubles in the work to people around and make plans to the professional career.Therefore, the replying suggestions offered:1. Concern and take some measures to prevent too much occupation pressure of teachers in mentally retarded school.2. School and relevant department should take some related measures to ease the teachers’ occupation pressure.3. Create conditions to make teachers in mentally retarded school master and implement positively to relieve occupation pressure by themselves.
