Geography equivalent line teaching is an important part of the geographical teaching process in middle school. Nonetheless, it remains a significant challenge for geography teachers. Based on the GIS technique and theory of teaching effectiveness, the purpose of this study was to study the improvement of teaching effects of GIS applied in geography equivalent line teaching in middle school. The subjects of the study were7th Grade students of Xiamen HuBin School in class1and class2. To compare the teaching effects on geography equivalent line teaching of two methods--studying with the integration of GIS and in a traditional way, which makes better, we make an empirical research between class1and class2. The result shows that with the integration of GIS, students learn better. Teaching integration of GIS technology is superior to conventional methods in comprehension and analytical ability improvement. The21th century is an era of information technology. Nowadays, GIS technology has been spreading in the world, and we should draw more attention to it, especially in teachers’GIS training, GIS learning and teaching integration of GIS in middle school. |
