Several years ago, every teacher in our high school was given new curriculum training materials. While studying new curriculum theories, we gradually reflect the teaching conditions and studying conditions. We discover some disadvantages that appear in the traditional teaching methods—'fill a duck type'.We try our best to change the traditional teaching methods in the following sections, such as closing, conservatism and just for the exam. In order to create the modern education mode of geography , develop opening, creating and increasing the students'abilities as its main characteristic, raise geography teaching quality in the senior high school , increase the researcher's teaching level, adapt to the development of the students'minds and bodies, and develop the talented person for the new century, we have been investigating the characteristic teaching method of geography equivalent line in the senior high school.Study contents as follows: First, the contrast research between the characteristic teaching of the geography equivalent line and the traditional teaching. Second, the student studies to make it a rule on an equal footing value the line is characteristic teaching effect influence of contrast research. Third, the sex differences contrast research of the equivalent line characteristic teaching effect. Forth, the dissimilarity living source of student to study the contrast research of effect in the characteristic teaching of the geography quivalent line. Fifth, the contrast research of the effect on students between the city and the countryside in the characteristic teaching of the geography equivalent line.During the research on teaching in the equivalent line, we discover the studying effect of the student who adopts characteristic teaching is better than the student with the adoption tuition method teaching. These classes are better than the classes without characteristic study habits. The girls'studying effects are better than the boys'in the characteristic teaching. Students whose study foundations are better adopt in the teaching of the geography equivalent line of senior high school characteristic the teaching method study's effect better. The city student studies better than the village student. We hope to push this kind of modern characteristic teaching method into practice by the theories alignment, hoping to help other teachers with their future teaching and research.
