The exercise system is one of important parts of Chinese textbooks. It getscloser by the study of practical textbook courses that Chinese language curriculumwith united of tools and humanity, the concepts of practical courses and activelypromote independence, autonomy, cooperation and explore ways of learning otherconcepts. What’s more, the Chinese language education of teaching reading textsand self-reading texts are still in the study of teacher’s teaching methods, but feweron the student’ s learning methods. So the researching on the teaching reading textsand self-reading texts will be turned from the teaching methods to learning methods.In order to achieve the ability of student’s independence and self-reading, the text ofself-reading and teaching reading can make it. As for the requirement of curriculumstandard on “it should be fewer and better” that could provide us many ways.In this paper, based on the current junior high school, the People EducationalPress version (PEP), Language&Culture Press version (LCP) and JiangsuEducational Press version (JEP) as the research object, it analyzes the three versionsChinese textbook through the number of statistics. It is divided into two main partswhich is the teaching reading text and self-reading text, practice items and the smallitem from the big topic. Under this kind of statistics, the teaching material practicecan even extend to the content and function. At last, based on the total number ofpractice, size problem and the co-ordination problem on teaching reading texts andself-reading texts, it puts forward to the opinions of teaching material practiceoptimization after textbook for junior high school.The whole article is divided into three parts——preface, straight matter andperoration. Firstly, preface is the preparation of the whole article. To be concretely, itdiscusses the origin and theoretical as well as practical value of this researchproblem, the current situation of this research so far. It also cards the fundamental train of thought of the research, include the methods in the article, the innovationpoint and the definition in conceptions. Secondly, straight matter is made up of thediscusses both in the importance and the necessity for the subject investigated, thedata structure about form&composition and function of the subject investigated;the analysis about the gotten data structure. To be specific, the part of discusses theimportance and the necessity for the subject investigated mainly proves the actualvalue in theoretical way; The part of data structure about form&composition andfunction of the subject investigated is the most important part in the whole text. wecan get the visually comprehension from the relevant data structure on those threeeditions’ Chinese textbooks; The last chapter makes some analyses with the help ofthe gotten data, even the suggestions in to teaching reading texts and self-readingtexts.
