This paper first describes the difficulties faced by technical secondary schoolmathematics teaching, The students’ foundation is poor and their enthusiasm is not high. So inorder to improve the classroom efficiency, the author put the teaching strategy of cooperativelearning into the mathematics classes in combination with the practical situation of theteaching. In this paper, the main research question is how to carry out the cooperative learningscientifically and effectively in the technical secondary school mathematics classroom.Research methods mainly are the literature analysis, questionnaire survey method andexperimental method. First of all,this paper makes a conclusion about some results about thecooperative learning and cooperative learning background and theoretical basis of the reviewin recent years.Then it elaborates the application of cooperative learning strategy in detailfrom the three aspects of preparation, implementation, evaluation. Through two teachingcases it stresses the practical operation process of group cooperative teaching.Through carrying on the questionnaire survey and comparative analysis of the marks oftwo final exams, we can clearly see that the average grades of cooperative learning methodsof experimental classes have greatly improved than other classes, and all the students studyenthusiasm become higher and higher. And so is their learning attitudes. Especially a lot ofinferior students have mastered the good study methods and find the confidence of learningwith the help of the teacher and other students. Through the study, we can conclude that thegreatest success of practice of cooperative learning is to improve the students’ mathematicslevel comprehensively, including mathematical expression ability, analysis and reasoningability, computation ability and so on. At the same time it also can improve the students’self-study ability and cooperation ability, promotes the students to develop good study habitsand develop virtuous circle of learning mathematics.I think the ultimate goal of cooperative learning group is: to promote the mutualexchange and common development between studengts; to help the teachers and students tolearn while teaching. Cooperative learning is suitable for technical secondary school mathclass as follows: when personal independent thinking trouble arise; when there is dispute overthe problem-solving strategies; when personal independence operation space is not enough and when the knowledge of a mathematical problem is not comprehensive. Several otherspecific problems should also be focused on in the process of implementing:(1) teachersshould cultivate the students’ cooperative skills.(2) cooperative learning time should beguaranteed, generally once to twice a week is most appropriate.(3) mathematics cooperativelearning must be combined with the collective teaching and individualized teaching.
