Art vocational college students are one of the special kinds of our contemporary collegestudents, and their ideological and moral level is related not only to their individual healthydevelopment but also to their artistic creative level, professional works’ ideologicalimplication and their future career’s moral level. Therefore, it is one of the important tasks forall the art vocational college educators to explore the new moral educational mode to accordwith art vocational college students’ characteristics and meet their needs. Based on a detailedanalysis of the moral education’s value for art vocational college students’ education, artvocational college students’ ideological characteristics and their fundamental characteristics,the dissertation tries to explore the current problems that the moral education has in artvocational colleges and the related feasible practice so as to get some beneficialenlightenments for the moral education for art vocational college students.The dissertation consists of4chapters as well as Introduction and Conclusion.Chapter One expounds the moral’s value for art vocational college education, in which3aspects are included: In the first aspect, college moral education can be employed to increasestudents’ moral level, nurture students’ moral belief, anneal students’ moral will and trainstudents to get into the habit of keeping moral behavior which should be turned into students’steady quality. Moral education is absolutely necessary in art vocational college educationand it is one of the important mechanisms for the overall development of art vocationalcollege students. In the second aspect, it goes without saying that moral education isintegrated with art creation. On the one hand, moral education has a profound impact on theaesthetic taste, philosophy development and its orientation of those who are educated and onthe other hand, moral education has a great influence and effect on the politics, moral qualityof those who are educated and on the art creation accordingly. In the third aspect,philosophical ideology and Marxist thoughts can help vocational college students to keepscientific thinking, recognize and respect the impersonal rules in a practical and realistic way,bring the human being’s subjective initiative into its full play, analyze and resolve thoseunknown in our human being’s life by the means of developing our points of view. Moraleducation has a great effect on the cultivation of art vocational college students’ aestheticinterest, the development and tendency of their artistic production, i.e., moral education is aprocess for artists to have a deep accumulation. Moral education helps to improve artvocational college students’ psychological quality. Chapter Two is the perspective on contemporary art vocational college students’ basiccharacteristics and their moral character, which is mainly embodied in two aspects.1. Thesource of the students is getting more and more complex. Nowadays, vocational art collegestudents have different learning background and levels. They have different physiology andpsychology, and they have different overall quality;2. There are more and more differencein education type, degree, academic structure and age, and students’ moral character is mainlymanifested in rich and strong emotion but most of them are more irrationality, many socialpractices, wide spreading of money worship, more prevailing utilitarianism, enthusiasticpursuit for novelty, strong individualism and professionalism, and narrow-mindedprofessional view of “art for art”.Chapter Three makes a detailed study of the problems that moral education is now facedwith. Altogether there are four problems as follows.1. Almost all the moral education groups fail to take in professional teachers that havegreatest effect on students’ moral behavior. The professional teachers attach less importanceonto the education of students’ ideology and morality. They have inadequate means ofeffective understanding, managing and educating students. Professional teachers fail to keepharmonious relationship with students.2. Students have not fully approved the current moral education’s effects, contents andapproaches, and they go against the current moral education. Moral education in vocationalart college did not go hand in hand with the current real life very closely, which influences theeffect of moral education. The simple teaching by talking is now the way for moral educationand students are not active enough.3. The current one-size-fit-all moral educational mode attaches no great importance tostudents’ difference, and the students’ difference in age and schooling length is ignored aswell.4. Moral education curriculum itself is short of professional characteristics and theteaching modes of moral education do not show the professional characteristics of vocationalart colleges.Chapter Four puts forward some strategies and suggestions for the improvement of thecurrent moral educational mode. The dissertation holds true that four fundamental strategiesshould be taken into account for the improvement of the current moral educational mode.1. Any art vocational college should gives full play to its advantages and constructreliable moral educational mode. Based on the characteristics of vocational art collegestudents, create a pertinent moral educational mode and take the advantage of vocational art college students and set up moral education activity with the characteristics of art colleges.2. Construct a new moral educational mode to take professional teachers as the mainforce. Deepen the professional teachers’ understanding of their effect in imparting knowledgeand cultivating students, increase their own humanistic quality, invigorate the effect of theirrole models for students, increase their level in education and management, and enhance theeffectiveness of moral education.3. Be student-oriented. Take the variety of students’ layer into consideration andconstruct a multi-layer moral educational mode. Based on students’ difference, set updifferent goals of moral education for different learning stages and academic years. Eachstage or year has its own stress. Based on the professional classification, organize differentpractical activities for the moral education which can show the characteristics of differentprofessions.4. Explore the teaching mode of the moral education course with the combination of“beauty, goodness and profession”. Set up the course target of “learning the art of beauty andtraining the soul of beauty and employ the teaching mode of the combination of “beauty,goodness and profession”. Establish the contents consistent with speciality and profession andstrengthen the teaching mode of the combination of “beauty, goodness and profession”. Makemoral educational approaches characterized by vocational colleges and display the teachingmode of the combination of “beauty, goodness and profession”. Construct the means ofprocess test and perfect the teaching mode of “beauty, goodness and profession”.
