Secondary vocational education is an important part of modern education in ourcountry,and it has a close relationship with the development of economy society andthe masses of the people’s fundamental interests.The vigorous development fosecondary vocational education made secondary vocational students became a hugegroup.According figures of2014,there had19.602million secondary vocationalstudents.But,In recent years,Secondary vocational students’crimes were of commonoccurrence.According to incomplete statistics,the secondary vocational studentscrime rates as high as80.7%in the students’crime case which accepted by people’sprocurator-ate.Therefore,to strengthen and pay attention to the secondary vocationalstudents’psychological health has been the urgent.Social support,it is to point mentalor physical care and help from other people.The research found that good socialsupport promote mental heath for individuals under adverse environment.So,thepurpose of this thesis is to study the relationship between social support and mentalhealth,analysis the correlation of secondary vocational students’social support andmental health after realize the current situation of them through demonstration andinvestigate,and profound some proposal to promote the level of social support andmental health in order to offer some ideas for secondary vocational school’educationand management.The thesis adopted the method of stratified sampling,the research objects are300secondary vocational students from three vocational schools in Nanchang.UsedSSRS(Social Support Rating Scale) and SCL-90(90symptom checklist) to collectivetesting of subjects,and then use SPASS19.0software for data entried、statisticalanalysis. After analyzed the current situation of secondary vocational students’socialsupport and mental health respectively, the thesis had compared secondary vocationalstudents’social support and mental health respectively from five aspects includingdifferent gender、different grades、different majors、different origin of students andwhether or not the only child, then made a correlation analysis between socialsupport’dimensionalities and SCL-90’s divisors.Make the conclusion that there is a strong negative correlation between social support dimensions for the secondaryvocation school students and SCL-90elements. This means good social support haspositive effect on mental health for individuals.The research then analyzed the cause in five sides which are government, society,school, family and students himself. Based on this, countermeasures aimed at thesefive sides are given to solve the problems such as inequality education resources,discrimination and prejudice to the students in the secondary vocation school. And thepsychological consultation work of school were not in place, also teachers andstudents lack of communication. All the countermeasures are put forward to promotethe support for these students.
