Recently, with the change of social environment, the reform of higher education and the increasingly rapid pace of work, the teachers has ranked high-stress group, especially the young teachers. They need to deal with teaching and research tasks, to face the job promotion meanwhile to solve their marriage problems. Due to the influence of internal and external environment, their stress continue increasing. However, excessive pressure will not only affect the physical and mental health of young teachers, but also the construction of teacher’s team. As a result, it will affect the healthy development of higher education.This paper selects young teachers in the985Universities as the research object. Through the questionnaire survey and the interview analysis, it shows us the present situation of young teachers in the985Universities and the radical causes of stress. Then it puts forward some suggestions and counter-measures to relieve their stress. This artical mainly divided into the following parts:Firstly, it reviews the literature on the related study of young teachers’stress. By studying the domestic and foreign literatures, we have the preliminary understanding of the theories of the characteristics of stress, the source of stress and the measures to relieve the stress. On this basis, combined with the characteristics of the domestic985Universities, it expounds the importance to analysis the survey of young teachers’stress in the985Universities.Secondly, it uses the Interactive Theory, Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and the Incentive Theory to design the questionnaire and interview outline. Then based on analysis results of pre test samples, it analyzes the reliability and validity of the questionnaire. Eventually,it forms the formal questionnaire and interview outline.Furthermore, it analyzes the investigation results on the current situation of young teachers’stress in the985Universities. The suvey finding reveals that the stress of young teachers mainly comes from the occupation development, interpersonal relationship, self, leadership and organization, scientific research, job promotion, the enjoyment of work and family life. Chapter Three also analyzes the three main causes of stress, which are the social changes and expectations, university personnel management system and self-development.Lastly, it bases on the analysis of the present situation of young teachers in the985Universities and the causes of stress, it puts forward the proposal to relieve the stress from the social level, college level and teacher’s level. The Interactive Theory, Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and the Incentive Theory are used as the theoretical support in this research. It surveys the sample from4985universities in different regions through online questionnaire. Then it analyzes the data with SPSS17.0, and gets the results of the stress status and stress differences. According to the investigation and analysis results, it puts forward some targeted, easy operated Countermeasures to provide the reference for easing young teachers’ stress.
