Question teaching mode is a kind of mode to guide students to discover and think over a problem, so as to solve the problem. According to the requirement of the new curriculum and the actual situation of the school, No.2middle shool in Pingyu, Zhumadian, Henan where the author works develops a "three-autonomy eight steps" teaching mode. This kind of teaching mode is based on problems and guides students to discover, analyze and solve the problems through the interaction between students and students and teachers and students.The paper puts forward the topic that how to cultivate the students’ question consciousness according to the requirements of the school, the new mathematics curriculum standard and the status quo of the junior middle school mathematics teaching. The paper analyzes the research status about the question teaching mode at home and abroad, and it introduces the theoretical basis, meaning and characteristics, implementation model and implementation principle of the question teaching mode by the literature research. The paper uses the comparison method to compare the question teaching mode in two different implementation model, that are "three-self eight steps" of No.2middle school in Pingyu and "students centered class" of No.1middle school in Zhengzhou. The paper analysis the effect of the "three-self eight steps" of No.2middle school in Pingyu through the questionnaire survey. The paper come to the conclusion that the "three-self eight steps" of No.2middle school in Pingyu is more suitable for rural schools big class teaching. The paper puts forward the optimization advice about the "three-self eight steps" of No.2middle school in Pingyu.
