How to correctly guide the town resident’s sports concept, to help them carry out fitness exercise and make it develop the habit of lifelong physical exercise, should become a fitness goal for future development.With the development of the western region and Changjitu economic development strategy of China spring, Yanbian minority autonomous region wide attention because of its rich folk characteristics, specific historical background and objective conditions.2008 began to receive national attention and concern, actively funding care and support of all aspects of the political, economic, cultural, sports policy. But due to historical and practical reasons, the popularization of knowledge of regional economy and the state of Yanbian sports and health is still slightly behind. The characteristics of dispersion, lag, imbalance still exists. The urbanization level is slightly lower, the slow development of injection and solve current policy of national funds to support the development of mass sports is still not, the reality of the slow. It is hard to carry out mass sports mass sports, the physical condition of the residents did not improve, seriously hindered the pace of development of Yanbian urbanization sports.Therefore, this article uses the literature material, questionnaire survey, fieldvisits and other methods, the paper researches the current situation of the development of sports town in Yanbian; and put forward the corresponding development mode of sports.1. The state of Yanbian has certain achievements in sports management, which consists of the State Sports Bureau as the core management department, in the County Education Bureau, bureau of the work together with style. As of 2014 May, to meet the requirements of the sixth national sports field survey of all kinds of sports venues in the state of Yanbian has a total of 2368,310 indoor sports facilities, outdoor sports facilities 2055, and total area of 3320646.64 square meters.2 The construction of various types of sports venues in Yanbian in recent years has made great progress, but still cannot meet the fitness needs of people. Do not open the venues accounted for more than half of some open venues because of the requirement management of the time, also want to participate in sports and the factors of population with time can provide health services for fitness crowd; secondly, the various types of sports unbalanced development.3. The Yanbian sports consumption per capita is higher, the sports expenditure is mainly concentrated in the purchase of sports equipment, beverage, equipment etc.Have a certain understanding of sports knowledge, but for some knowledge there are still blind. Yanbian urban residents to participate in sports project selection, selection of fitness running, fitness dance, football, badminton and other events in the top row.4.Main factors restricting the development of sports towns in Yanbian are:sports venues and facilities, the income level of residents, citizens participation in sports consciousness, the attention of the government, such as leisure time. The survey found that, the publicity of sports is obviously lack of publicity phenomenon.5 Construction for the development of sports town in Yanbian should be combined with the actual situation in Yanbian, with the national management as the core. The national cultural activities, cultural activities, family activities, business combination as the guiding ideology of school physical education. In the construction of venues and equipment as the center; the establishment of sports system as the center; Center for the promotion of sports mode.In order to provide suggestions and Countermeasures for the actual operation of the sports management department in Yanbian minority area, to promote the overall development strategy of urban sports, fitness for the popularization of western region and provide a basis for the development.
