A Probe Into Family Chinese Education With In The Theoretical Framework Of Extensive Chinese Education

Family education has an important role to play throughout the whole life of a person. Recently a growing number of parents have come to realize the great influence of family Chinese education upon their children and thus begun to attach greater importance to family Chinese education. Meanwhile, however, problems, which have lurked in family Chinese education, are also beginning to emerge. As a graduate student majoring in Curriculum and Instruction, the author feels a sense of responsibility to do some research on family Chinese education which, in turn, might provide some learning points for its healthy and lively development.Starting with the theoretical framework of Extensive Chinese Education, this dissertation makes a probe into the problems lying in current family Chinese education, on the basis of which effective solutions are proposed. First, through illustrations of such concepts as Extensive Chinese Education and family Chinese education, it is made clear that family Chinese education serves as an extension of as well as a strong support for Chinese education at school and that it is irreplaceable in a child’s growth. Second, an analysis of the data derived from both online and field questionnaires reveals the main problems with the current family Chinese education in our country: the defectiveness of children’s inner world, the prevalence of with high scores but low ability, the separation between Chinese education at school and family Chinese education. Last, based upon the theory of Extensive Chinese Education as well as the relevant survey and analysis, effective measures for improvement are proposed:pay attention to students mental, give appropriate material supply;Pay attention to students comprehensive growth of body and mind;The language teacher should strengthen the guidance of family education of Chinese high school students to read.
