Along with the social and economic development, people are facing increasinglyfierce competition. Parents always want their next generations to be successful, and thiskind of will is only getting stronger, and thus, parents are paying more attention to theirchildren’s education and making more investment for their children’s education as well.However, many mistaken ideas appear during the concrete implementation of familyeducation. A lot of parents were troubled, because they are not certain about what’s thebest way of education for improving children’s overall quality and competitiveness. Factshave proven that in many of the abilities, language proficiency is one of the most basic andthe most important skill. Languages are not only tools for communication, but also canmake greater impacts in the people’s spiritual and moral realms. It can be informed that aperson’s language abilities represent his or her comprehensive literacy and socialcompetence. What effects on children can be made from family Chinese education, andhow to take conditional and environmental advantages of family Chinese education? Thoseare the problems worthy of study. Author strives to do something useful for this discussionso as to provide theories and practice of reference of home study in language education.This paper is composed of three parts. The first part is the current situation of familyChinese education and the analysis thereof. The present situation of family Chineseeducation is described, and meanwhile survey research is used as a main means. Parents’awareness and the specific implementation of family Chinese education, andmisunderstandings and problems in the implementation process of family Chineseeducation are archived by questionnaires and interviews.The second part points to the basicprinciples, facts and features of family Chinese education. Readers will understand thegeneral principles that should be followed in family Chinese education, children’s mentaldevelopments in different ages and the features of family Chinese education itself. Thethird part points to the implementation of family Chinese education. In this part, specificactions for bringing up children’s Language competence and Reading ability are mainlyintroduced, and typical applications of specific methods are introduced via examples.Family Chinese education is timeless topic, the purposes of this paper are to makeclear the importance of family education to parents, to promote better family environmentfor language education and effective approach to language education of the family, and tohelp parent carrying out family Chinese education for children.
