| During the teaching practice, Normal Students act their dual identity as teachers and students, from which they figure out their own accurate position in line with the requirements of responsibilities and role expectations. According to a qualified teacher standard, interpersonal ship preparation should be ready. If Normal Students are not ready for the role preparation, then, it is easy for them to catch in a conflict of roles. Normal Students’ role conflicts have an impact on Normal College Students ’psychology, thereby affect the realization of practical effect, and even affect Student Teachers’ professional development. At present, the academic study of the role conflict of Normal Students in their internship was not in depth, therefore, the study of which is significant in the level of theory and practice.The normal students’ role conflict during teaching practice means that when the normal students act their dual identity as teachers and students, the contradiction, antagonism and conflict in their heart happen, the maladjustment and disharmony on mentally or behavioral would be caused. This role conflict of the normal students divided into intrarole conflict and interrole conflict. The intrarole conflict means the normal students cannot meet the role requirements of acting as qualified teachers from the students in teaching practice school, resulting in producing the conflict in normal students’ heart. The interrole refers to the lack of a common understanding about how student to perform the practice teacher role and contradiction or conflict of communication or interest between normal students and other partners, lead to conflict between students and other role partner.This paper presents an empirical study which was conducted using questionnaire survey based on a theoretical analysis of role conflicts emerged in teaching internship of normal college students. Main results appear below. First, to normal college students, a middle to high level of role conflicts are commonly existed during their teaching practice and the inner conflict is found to be more serious than conflicts among different roles. Second, their inadequate preparation of required ability is a major factor contributing to role conflicts and their preparations of knowledge, ability and morality exist some defects in some degree. Third, normal college students encounter varying degrees of role conflicts with normal college leading teachers, college administrative leadership, instructors, parents of students and students. Fourth, role conflicts of normal college students have exerted influences on their psychological status, career choices and teaching effectiveness during the internship.On the basis of the research data and conclusions, this paper proposes suggestions to ease role conflicts occurring in normal college students’ teaching internship, including social adaptation strategies and self-adaptation strategies. In terms of social adaptation, normal colleges and the practice school should cultivate students of teachers’ professional emotion that love education career, love the students, strengthen their learning of professional knowledge and skills of education and teaching, creating good role training environment for students, in order to prevent the happening of the normal students role conflict; take countermeasures on normal student role conflict which has happened, such as strengthening guidance, emotional care, language behavior, psychological consultation and so on. In terms of self-adaptation, students should be prepared to the role before internship, do a good job in self psychological adjustment in practice. |
