Replacement Teaching Practice is one of the most important parts of training programs for normal college students,which not only improves normal college students' practice teaching abilities,but also promotes the reform of the training mode of college teachers,moreover,it is beneficial to the development of local basic education.The interns have been bothered by many problems,such as the inadaptability to country life,being unfamiliar to learning environment,the lack of teaching capacity,feeling overwhelmed by unexpected situations,getting into trouble with either students or colleagues and so on.At present,the study of normal college students' Replacement Teaching Practice have scored great successes from a macro point of view,which have focused on development,problems and the correspond strategy.It lacks of deep research on normal college students' Replacement Teaching Practice from a micro level.Therefore,studying role conflict problem regarding Replacement Teaching Practice from the perspective of normal college students has some necessity and innovation.The major concern of this study is that what different types of role conflicts and why they occur during Replacement Teaching Practice.By using a qualitative research method,the author conducts an in-depth interview survey with 32 normal college students at Y university who have participated Replacement Teaching Practice.After preliminary arrangement and analysis of the original data,interview materials are further qualitatively coded by category analysis.Following conclusions are summarized: first,there are four typical conflicts during Replacement Teaching Practice including environmental experiencing,interpersonal skill,professional capacity and occupational ethic conflicts;second,complex role cluster and frequent role transitions are the main factors which cause conflicts during Replacement Teaching Practice;third,a grounded theory is built to explain why above conflicts arise,which is explained from the aspects of role preparations,role transitions,role expectations,role norms and role interests.On the basis of the research conclusions,this paper proposes suggestions to prevent and ease role conflicts,including normal college students,normal university and practice school.Students should be prepared to the role before Replacement Teaching Practice in order to achieve the successful role transitions,including knowledge,ability,physical and mental quality preparations.Normal universities need to strength the importance of Replacement Teaching Practice,and provide more effective guidance and help to the students.Furthermore,practice school and normal university should cooperate to develop a comprehensive teaching practice system,make the work arrangement of the students more rational and help them definite the responsibility and obligation during Replacement Teaching Practice.
