Self-efficacy and goal orientation as an important part of modern theories of motivation, both emphasis individual awareness of their own capabilities, that’s the impact of the ability of consciousness of behavior and the importance of "self", "person" in achievement behavior. Although there are cultural differences research on these issues view between Chinese and foreign, but with universal meaning in knowing the formation、direction、behavior characteristics of human motivation and digging the potential、initiative of human.This research on the basis of system analyzed the domestic and foreign about self-efficacy and goal orientation, using literature method, questionnaire survey method, mathematical statistics and other research methods, to explore the relationship between physical activity and self-efficacy、goal orientation in junior high school students. With 977 students in six junior high school of Hubei wuhan as study objects, a survey of relevant variables of the differences in gender, grade and enrollment, contrastive analysis the school sports students and not school sports students, we get the following conclusions:1. Physical self-efficacy of junior middle school students have significant differences in gender, and boys’are higher than girls’. Task orientation of girls are higher than boys’.2. General self-efficacy, physical self-expression of confidence and ego orientation of junior middle school students have significant differences in grade. Specifically, the general self-efficacy of grade one students’ are highest, followed by grade two, the lowest are grade three students. Grade three students’ physical self-expression of confidence is highest, and they increased use ego orientation, followed by grade two and grade three.3. General self-efficacy, physical self-efficacy and goal orientation of city junior middle school students are significantly higher than the township junior middle school students.4. General self-efficacy, physical self-efficacy and task orientation of junior middle school students have the significant positive correlation with physical exercise intensity, exercise time and exercise frequency; ego orientation of junior middle school students have the significant positive correlation with physical exercise time and exercise frequency.5. Physical exercise time have greatest impact on junior middle school students’ general self-efficacy, physical self-efficacy, task orientation and ego orientation; followed by exercise intensity, then exercise frequency.
