Research On The Cultivation Of Consciousness Legal For Chinese University Students

"Law-Based Governance" has been determined as the basic strategy on the 15th national congress. Since the 18th national congress, the Central Committee has been paying high attention to the development of rule of law, emphasizing the law as the basic mode of governing the country. In the Fourth Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee, law-based governance has been discussed as the special topic in the first time, proposing that we strengthen the notion of the rule of law among all Chinese people and bring the law education into the national system of education and cultural and ethical development, which sped up the development of the rule of law.Achieving law-based governance depends on the raise of legal consciousness among all the people. Especially, we need to cultivate and improve legal consciousness of contemporary university students, who share the mission of realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics, in order to make them relevant in the administration of state affairs, therefore realizing the legalization of political, economic and social activities of the state, putting through the basic strategy of "law-based governance", and realizing the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.With the gradually perfection and development of the rule of law, legal consciousness of university students has improved, but problem still persists. Using Marxism view of legal with Chinese characteristics as the instrument of theoretical analysis, we conducted a survey on the cultivation of university students’ legal consciousness using document analysis method, questionnaire method and the method of integrating theory and practice. This article presented the current situation of legal consciousness of university students based on the survey results, intending to pinpoint the problems in the situation, and analysis the root cause of them in terms of society, school, family and students themselves. Therefore, we propose the means of cultivating university students’ legal consciousness.University students can’t live without society, their development is closely interrelated to the home education. Cultivation of university students’ legal consciousness is an important part in university ideological and political education, therefore, the cooperation of society, university, family and university students is needed to cultivate the legal consciousness of university students and build up the belief and authority of law. By this way, we can realize the aim of building a socialist rule of law country.
