The Study Of Cultivating College Students’ Legal Consciousness

On the fourth plenary session of the eighteenth,a number of importantissues were in-depth studied and discussed, such as fully implement the strategic planof the rule of law, speeding up construction of socialist rule of law, comprehensivelypromote the rule of law,decided to adhere to the rule of law road of socialismand build the rule of law system of socialism with Chinese characteristics; tostrengthen the implementation of the constitution, formally established the strategy ofruling the country in accordance with the constitution, and established the supremeposition of the constitution again. The fourth plenary session of the eighteenth pointedout that comprehensively promote the process of the rule of law, not only to makelaws, governments at all levels should further promote administration according tolaw, but also to ensure judicial justice and improve judicial credibility; In order tofurther promote the construction of the rule of law, we must strengthen the people’sconcept of the rule of law and let the whole society to foster awareness of the law.Three decades of reform and opening of its door, China’s legal construction hasmade great achievements, while the dissemination, we must more to strengthen andimprove the cultivation of the legal consciousness of university students inChina. Carrying out legal basic course increased the legal consciousness and rightconsciousness of college students; they can generally recognize the importanceof learning law and generally accepted the idea of rule by law. Because of the socialfactors,the school education and the student own factors led to China’s CollegeStudents’ legal consciousness various problems. So the study of the cultivation ofcollege students’ legal consciousness problem has become an important researchtopic.This article analyzing the current status of legal consciousness of college studentsin our country by questionnaire survey, and summarize the causes of the problem thatcollege students ’ legal consciousness, has great reference value to the cultivation ofuniversity students ’ legal consciousness and construction of ideological and politicaleducation in colleges. The paper has in-depth analysis through five parts. The first part is the introduction, the paper explains the background of studying, analysis thesignificance of university student law consciousness，introduces the thoughts andmethods of the paper and then integrates and summarizes the literature review athome and abroad. The second part, describes the basic connotation oflegal consciousness, analysis the theoretical basis of legal awareness, summarizes theMarx and Engels’s theory of legal consciousness and legal ideology of the socialismwith Chinese characteristics respectively, which provides theoretical guidance for theproblems that college students’ legal consciousness cultivation in our country. Then,points out the important significance of strengthening the legal consciousness ofcollege students in our country. The third part, an objective analysis and summary ofthe present situation of university students’ legal consciousness through thequestionnaire survey, and then, analysis of the causes of problems in cultivatingcollege students’ legal consciousness, such as imperfect legal knowledge, legalcapacity obviously insufficient, legal concept is weak, has not really formedlegal belief, and so on. And then,in the fourth part analyzes the reasons of the problem.The fifth part, puts forward the methods and way to cultivate college students’ legalconsciousness in our country，including establishment of scientific training conceptand purify the social environment，create a legal environment in campus, carry out theeducational reform about legal system in colleges and build an effective practice.
