With the raise understanding of small-scale class teaching, and the current social development needs, the implementation of small-scale class teaching is widely popularized. Small-scale class has becoming one of the most important organizational form of the current basic education. In addition, due to the implementation of the one-child policy in China, and the migration of rural migrant workers, rural students and source are going to reduce gradually. This particular circumstance formed a unique rural small class teaching. The number of schools in rural areas is large, but the education quality is low, which is worthy of attention.By using the method of literature, this study is carried out on the related literature and understands the current research about small-scale class teaching is mainly in the experience, the advantages of small-scale class teaching and its research on related concepts, but less involved the study of rural small-scale class teaching. Therefore, this study selected 6 rural primary schools from Dandong that implement small-scale class teaching as investigation object, and using questionnaire and interview method, from the relationship between teachers and students, teaching methods, teaching environment, students’ classroom participation, classroom management, individualized guidance six latitude to investigate rural small-scale class teaching. By understanding the current state of rural small class teaching reality, we can put forward improvement strategies for the existing problems, the related teaching theory and promote the development of rural small-scale class teaching.This research through the survey found that the main problems existing in the rural small-scale class teaching are as follows: teachers’ old ideas between teachers and students, lack of communication between teachers and students; using single teaching method, classroom lack of energy; lack of rigidity of spatial pattern and teaching facilities; students’ class participation is low, the study enthusiasm is not high; teachers’ lack of understanding of the differences between students, individual guidance teaching. According to the investigation of the status quo problems attribution of feedback, the author then puts forward some countermeasures for promoting the rural primary school of small-scale class teaching, for the purpose of updating their concepts, promoting the communication between teachers and students and improving teaching methods and quality. To improve the teaching facilities, improve the flexibility of teaching space pattern; to improve the classroom teaching design, improve students’ participation; To carry out various forms of training activities, and promote the teachers’ growth.
