As we all know, family education is an important part of the whole education system,has an important status and role, which is a person’s growth and development can not leave yet indispensable. Parental rearing styles, occupying a central position in the family education, play an irreplaceable role in children’s social development and personal growth.Parental rearing styles have a very important impact on the social development of children.Children, accepting their parents’ rearing styles, form and obtain their own values of society and traditional habits, and prepare their mind for the future development.However, with the rapid development of China’s modernization, a large number of migrant workers flow into the cities. In many provinces of our country, especially in the rural Midwest, almost every village has a large number of migrant farmers, and the number of this group is growing. Currently, in China’s vast rural areas there is a lot of left-behind children,their parents, single parents or both parents work outside the home or not at home all year round, resulting in lack of parent-child interaction and parent-child communication, family structure imbalance. This paper selects rural “left-behind children” and their rearing styles as research object, selecting rural students from several junior middle schools in Liantang town,Nanchang County, Jiangxi Province as test object, using Parental Rearing Style Assessment Scale(referred EMBU) revised by Dongmei Yue as questionnaire. A comparative analysis of the similarities and differences of father’s rearing style and mother’s rearing style, parental rearing styles differ under different objective conditions, such as grade, gender, residence,looking for a healthy and reasonable and is conducive to the development of rural“left-behind children” parenting style. From the research, some conclusions are as follows:(1) Father’s rearing style of rural left-behind children in Junior high school is quite different from their mother’s. In the punishment, stringency and emotional warmth,understanding dimensions, father’s rearing style is more outstanding than mother’s. While in the dimensions of excessive interference and protection, Preference for the participants and refusal, denial, mother’s rearing style is more outstanding than their father’s.(2) Parental rearing styles differ in Gender: In the emotional warmth, understanding dimensions, girl rural left-behind children got higher scores than boys. Rural junior high school left-behind boys get more negative parenting style, while girls get more positive parenting style.(3) Parental rearing styles differ in Region: in the dimensions of warmth, understanding,punishment, stringency, excessive interference, refusal, denial, city left-behind “left-behind children” get higher scores than Rural “left-behind children”.(4) Parental rearing styles differ in Grades: In the punishment, stringency dimensions,rural left-behind children of Grade two get higher scores than those of Grade one and Grade three.; in the refusal, denial dimensions, rural left-behind children of Grade Three get higher scores than those of Grade One and Grade Two.
