During the popularity of higher education, secondary vocational schools are faced with the heavy pressure of competition, problems of poor quality of students and the sheer difficulty of management. The students are put in a dilemma of obtaining employment. With the development ofMarket economy, the training objectives of the secondary vocational schools tend to be utilitarian and the ideological and political education is apt to be unsubstantial which has restricted the health of education and the overall development of students. To some extent, it has deviated from the ultimate goal of cultivating high skilled talents with high quality.Take a secondary vocational school of Laiwu, Shandong Province as an example, the author analyzes the present situation of the ideological and political education in secondary vocational schools through literature review, visiting survey, questionnaire and the author’s own teaching experience.The paper is divided into four parts below:1.Introduction. It includes the definition of related concepts, research meaning, domestic and foreign literature review, research content, research methods and the point of innovation.2. The analysis of the present situation on ideological and-political education in secondary vocational schools. In this part, the author first sum up the achievements and the existing problems on the basis of visiting survey and questionnaire, then analyzes the particularity of medium education and the need of the intervention and guidance of ideological and political education.3. The existing problems and the reasons of the ideological and political education in secondary vocational school. This part can be analyzed from the prospective of the teaching of ideological and political education, education environment, students, teachers, administrators and the cohesive relations between occupation moral and the ideological & political education.4. Thinking on the ideological and political education of secondary vocational schools. In view of the existing problems, the author offers a beneficial exploration path and provide with useful suggestions on occupation morality construction in a perspective of ideological and political education on the basis of the design of ideological and political education course, education environment, the position of students, the change of educational idea.
