Dialogical theory has a long history in our country, and its combination with Chinese reading teaching is also of long standing. However, when this theory which comes from the West burst out the collision with our local education, it not only strikes many splendid idea sparks, but also generates a lot of practical problems, such as endless classroom discussion, teachers’ nonfeasance and the evaluation methods which are subject to the number of questions and answers in class. After analyzing the studies of many experts and scholars about these issues, I found that our dialogical theory is constructed on the basis of Western dialogical theory, the reason why so many theories and errors are exposed, except not clarifying the nature of the dialogue, the most important point is that the our study of dialogical theory is lack of dealing with its localization. After a clear understanding of this point, I believe that if we want to combine the dialogical theory with Chinese reading teaching perfectly, it is necessary for us to recognize the education truth of China and complete and reform it after understanding the real connotation of Western dialogue. Thus, rebuild a dialogical theory that will be suitable for Chinese teaching situation.The “dialogue” which we need is a dynamic communication process. When conduct a “dialogue”, multiple dialogues based on equality must be implemented between the teachers, the students, textbook editors and the text authors. In terms of basic idea, Dialogical theory included in the Chinese reading teaching is the unification of recurrent education, democratic education and life education. The basic requirements that in order to realize “dialogue” include creating a friendly environment of dialogue, tap the dialogue potential of students, and a series of measures to ensure the smooth conduct of the dialogue and so on. In addition, enhancing teachers’ dialogue consciousness and optimizing teaching strategies is also necessary so that “dialogue” can be achieved high-speed and effectively.
